A businessman in Tamil Nadu paid tribute to his late wife by installing a six-feet-tall statue of her. The life-sized statue was unveiled after 30 days of her demise, as an expression of his love for her. Sethuraman, who is a businessman from Madurai, unveiled the statue of his wife, Pitchaimaniammal, inside his residence.

The statue is a replica of Pitchaimaniammal, seated on a chair, and is decked up in a bright green and blue saree with jewellery. According to ANI, the statue of the wife has been made with fibre, rubber and special colours to make it last longer.

The man told ANI, "My wife was very dear to me. I always miss her, after she passed away 30 days back. I placed this statue at our residence, to be with her always. This statue is made of fibre, mixed with rubber and other items, so as to make it stronger and last longer. Colours used on this statue could last at least 50 years."

"I lost my wife recently but when I look at this statue, I can connect with her," he added.

This is not the first time that such an incident has gone viral. A month ago, one industrialist from Karnataka made headlines after he honoured his late wife by installing a silicone wax statue at his new residence ahead of hosting a housewarming party.

The attention to detail in the statue is incredible.
