Sushant death case: NCB raids multiple locations in Mumbai and Goa

The NCB is raiding various locations across Goa and Mumbai, based on the information provided by suspected drug peddler Anuj Keshwani.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is investigating the drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The NCB is raiding various locations across Goa and Mumbai, based on the information provided by Anuj Keshwani. All the raid locations are related to drug peddlers. Suspected drug peddler Anuj Keshwani was arrested by the NCB after Kaizan Ebrahim disclosed his name. Kaizan Ebrahim had said that Anuj Keshwani was his supplier for the contrabands. The raids in Mumbai and Goa are being headed by Samee Wankhede.
The NCB will also question Naman Ahluwalia, whose chats with Showik Chakraborty were accessed by the ED.
Kaizan Ebrahim aka Jaison was arrested by the NCB on September 3. He was believed to have been in touch with Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty.
The Narcotics Control Bureau earlier found out that Sushant Singh Rajput wanted to spend some days at Rhea Chakraborty's home during the lockdown. The couple decided to shift buds clandestinely to her home for which a fast delivery courier company was contacted. After questioning Rhea, Showik and others, the agency got to know that the couple couriered around 500 g curated marijuana in a box along with some household items to the Chakrabortys' home in April.

The NCB have arrested Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Dipesh Sawant, Samuel Miranda, Zaid Vilatra and Basit Parihar for allegedly arranging drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. Zaid and Basit are drug peddlers who provided drugs to Showik. The Sessions Court rejected their bail pleas on Friday (September 11). The NCB had also raided Rhea Chakraborty’s residence on September 4.
Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, said that they will decide on the course of action ahead next week. He said that they will contemplate on moving Bombay High Court. Rhea will continue to live in Mumbai's Byculla jail till September 22.
The NCB began their investigation in the case after ED retrieved some chats from Rhea Chakraborty’s phone in which there was a mention of drugs.
