Police in Kerala's Udiyankulangara found the body of a 41-year-old woman hanging inside a building on Friday. A suicide note has been recovered where the deceased has accused two local CPI(M) members by name of mentally torturing her.

The building in Udiyankulangara on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram where police found her body is reportedly owned by the CPI(M) but has not been in use for some time.

According to local police, the lady was an ASHA worker and a CPI(M) sympathizer. The police team also found a suicide note from the spot, purportedly written by her. The letter names two local leaders of the CPI(M) who she accused of mentally harassing her. In addition, the letter also says that she had complained about the men to the local party leadership.

Anavur Nagappan, CPI(M) Thiruvananthapuram district secretary said the district committee had not received any complaint from the deceased woman. The party will look into the incident, Nagappan added.
