Kangana Ranaut on Saturday posted a tweet in Marathi. She also shared an illustration shared with her by director Vivek Agnihotri.

In the illustration, Shivaji Maharaj can be seen giving Kangana Ranaut a sword. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is depicted as Ravana with ten heads in the same illustration.

"Received many memes, this one sent by my friend @vivekagnihotri ji made me emotional," actor Kangana Ranaut said in her tweet.

She went on to say in her tweet in Marathi, "I will follow the footsteps of Laxmibai and Veer Shivaji even if they try to intimidate me. I will move ahead with courage. Jay Hind, Jay Maharashtra."

The actor locked horns with the Maharashtra government and the Shiv Sena following a war of words with the party's chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut. What followed was the demolition of her office in Mumbai by civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

After the demolition, Ranaut publicly criticised the Maharashtra CM. She was granted 'Y' security by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) a day before she decided to return to Mumbai from her hometown near Manali.
