Karanvir Bohra shared Kushal Tandon's name instead of late actor Kushal Punjabi on suicide prevention day. Karanvir Bohra's friend and actor Kushal Punjabi died by suicide on December 26, 2019. Karanvir has started an initiative for mental health awareness and while sharing information on the same, he wrote Kushal Tandon instead of Kushal Punjabi.

Karanvir Bohra wrote, "And I'm glad that @reenajabran and I started on day like today #SuicidePreventionDay . I loved #KushalTandon so much. Would like to mention #chetanhansraj & @MeetBrosHarmeet too, very thought of starting something like this & each of us are doing our bit for a cause like #SuicideAwareness."

Kushal Tandon shared the tweet and wrote, "Main zinda hoon. I am not dead."

Instead of deleting his tweet and replacing it with a new one, Karanvir Bohra apologised to Kushal Tandon and wrote that it was a typo. He also blamed Nikitin Dheer for sharing the tweet with Kushal. He wrote, "Sorry sorry bro, it was a typo...I love you too and you know that. That @nikitindheer is the chingari, I'm sure he sent it to you (sic)."

Later Arjun Bijlani also corrected him and wrote, "You mean #KushalPunjabi. To which Karanvir Bohra said, "Kamino..... @Thearjunbijlani @KushalT2803 @nikitindheer bakshdo mujhe .... I'VE SAID SORRY. IT WAS A TYPO (sic)."

Kushal Punjabi was found hanging in his residence in Mumbai on December 26. According to reports, the actor was suffering from depression. Karanvir Bohra was the first one to share the news of his death on social media.
