Heart transported from airport into south Delhi hospital via green corridor at 17 mins

A heart harvested by a brain-dead adolescent in Jaipur was flown to Delhi airport and then in only 17 minutes delivered to a private hospital here for a transplant operation through a nearly 18-km green corridor setup amid the festive season rush.

“The selected heart was flown to Delhi by a ferry trip. It landed at Terminal three of those Delhi airport at 7.50 pm Wednesday.

An hospital ambulance waiting at the airport, promptly transported the center through the 18.3-km green corridor in only 17 minutes, he further added.
