Kangana Ranaut is scheduled to meet Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari on Sunday. The meeting is scheduled at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai at 4.30 pm before she leaves for her hometown in Himachal Pradesh.

The actor has been critical of the Maharashtra government, especially Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Her argument with Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut is believed to have led to the demolition of her office in Mumbai's Pali Hill area by the BMC.

A notice was also served to Ranaut over unauthorised construction at her residence in Khar (west). However, a civil court in Mumbai stayed the demolition of her home.

It is still unclear what the agenda of her meeting with the Maharashtra Governor will be.

The actor posted an illustration on Twitter on Saturday showing Shivaji Maharaj handing her a sword and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray depicted in the background as 'Ravana'.

In the latest edition of its mouthpiece Saamna, the Shiv Sena attacked Ranaut over her remark where she compared Mumbai to "Pakistan-occupied Kashmir". The edition said underestimating Mumbai is like "digging your own grave".

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, who met Kangana Ranaut at her residence in Mumbai earlier this week even went to the extent of saying that she may get a Rajya Sabha seat if she joins the BJP. Several other political leaders, including Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur have waded in the controversy.

The Maharashtra government has in fact, asked the state police to probe possible drug charges against Ranaut.
